A 35-year-old driver crashed his car in Tremsbüttel, northern Germany, before fleeing the scene. The vehicle left the road and landed on its side, prompting a search for the man after he disappeared from the area.

The incident began when the driver's car veered off the road and overturned. Instead of staying at the scene, he attempted to evade police and left the area. Officers initially checked his registered address but found no sign of him there.

Local residents later spotted the man near his home, leading to an ambulance being called. He was taken to hospital with a leg injury. Due to signs of possible intoxication, police conducted a blood test for alcohol and drugs. The results are still pending.

The driver remains under investigation while awaiting the blood test outcome. His injuries were treated at the hospital, but further details about his condition have not been released. Police continue to examine the circumstances of the crash and his attempt to flee.
