A 39-year-old man suffered severe injuries after crashing into guardrails multiple times on the A2 motorway. The incident happened on Monday afternoon while he was driving his car toward Berlin between Eilsleben and Bornstedt. Police later confirmed he was heavily intoxicated at the time of the crash. The driver was travelling on the A2 when his car first struck the guardrail. Instead of stopping, the car veered across the grassy median and continued for several hundred metres. During this time, the car collided with the guardrail repeatedly. The crash caused serious injuries to the driver, who required immediate medical attention. Investigations into the incident remain ongoing, with alcohol impairment confirmed as the primary factor.
