Drunk Man, 54, Arrested for Bicycle Theft in Berlin's Friedrichshain
A 54-year-old man was arrested in Friedrichshain after attempting to steal a bicycle. The incident occurred outside a supermarket on Rüdersdorfer Straße at around 8:15 p.m. The suspect was caught red-handed tampering with a bike lock using a multi-tool. When approached by police, he attempted to flee but was swiftly detained. A breathalyzer test revealed his blood alcohol level to be approximately 2.85 per mille. Earlier in the day, the same man was found to have been involved in a separate incident of shoplifting. The local precinct is currently handling the case and assessing whether to seek an arrest warrant. The suspect, who is yet to be identified, is potentially to be presented in court in connection with case number 0542. Further details are awaited from the local precinct.
