Drunk man attacks wife and police in chaotic Dömitz-Malliß confrontation
A violent domestic dispute in the Dömitz-Malliß area escalated when a 37-year-old man allegedly assaulted his wife and then turned on responding police officers. The incident led to a chaotic confrontation, with the suspect displaying extreme aggression and shouting unconstitutional slogans before being restrained.
The altercation began when the man, believed to be under the influence of alcohol, narcotics, and medication, physically assaulted his 39-year-old wife. Police were called to the scene but faced immediate resistance from the suspect. He refused to cooperate, hurling objects and attacking two officers.
During the struggle, one officer suffered facial lacerations from shattered glass. Authorities deployed pepper spray in an attempt to subdue the suspect, who continued to resist violently. Eventually, officers restrained him with handcuffs and leg irons before taking him into custody.
Police later confirmed that the situation was de-escalated through prolonged dialogue, non-lethal tactics, and area isolation. The suspect was arrested without further injuries and now faces multiple charges, including assaulting law enforcement and resisting arrest.
The suspect remains in custody, with investigations ongoing. His violent outburst left one officer injured and resulted in serious charges. Authorities have not yet released further details on the case.
