Drunk man slashes food courier's e-bike in Omsk knife attack
A violent clash broke out between a drunk man and a food courier in Omsk city centre on the evening of International Women's Day. The confrontation took place near the Tokyo karaoke bar at the Ulitsa Dekabristov bus stop. Witnesses described a sudden escalation that left the courier's electric bike damaged and the attacker fleeing the scene.
The incident began when the intoxicated man and the courier became involved in a physical fight. Eyewitnesses said the two grappled briefly before the courier tried to pull away. The aggressor then drew a knife and slashed the tyres of the courier's electric bicycle.
With the bike disabled, the attacker turned to the vehicle itself, stabbing the tyres repeatedly. Bystanders watched but did not step in, later contacting the courier's delivery service instead. The assailant left the area before police arrived. Authorities were notified of the altercation at 8:39 p.m. No further details about the victim's condition or the attacker's identity have been released. Local media and social platforms have not reported any public reaction to the event.
The courier was left with a damaged bike after the unprovoked knife attack. Police are likely reviewing witness statements and any available footage from the area. No arrests or official updates have been confirmed at this time.
