Drunk man with 2.8 blood alcohol level causes chaos at Bochum station
A heavily intoxicated man caused a disturbance at Bochum Central Station after refusing to cooperate with police. The 37-year-old Polish national, who was later found to have a blood alcohol level of 2.8 per mille, became aggressive during a routine check. Officers have now launched an investigation into his behaviour.
The incident began when federal police approached the man at the station. Despite his extreme intoxication, he showed no obvious signs of drunkenness. Instead, he grew confrontational and refused to follow instructions.
The investigation will determine whether further legal action is needed. The man’s blood alcohol reading of 2.8 per mille—far above the legal limit—was recorded during the incident. For now, he remains barred from returning to the station.
