A violent brawl erupted at Cottbus Christmas market on Wednesday after a dispute over grilled meat. The incident involved a heavily intoxicated 42-year-old man whose blood alcohol level exceeded 2.5 per mille. His aggressive behavior quickly escalated into a physical confrontation.
The trouble began when the man complained about the quality of his food. He grew increasingly verbally abusive before attempting to force his way into the vendor’s service area. In response, the stall owner struck him, causing facial injuries severe enough to require hospital treatment.
The clash left one man hospitalised and two others with minor injuries. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the altercation. The incident has drawn attention to the risks of excessive alcohol consumption at public events.
