Dubai Air Show secures $38B in deals as Emirates leads aviation boom
The Dubai Air Show has once again cemented its position as a key event in global aviation. This year’s deals included multi-billion-dollar orders from major Middle Eastern carriers, with Emirates leading the way. The region’s airlines continue to expand their fleets as demand for air travel grows.
Emirates dominated the show with a $38 billion order for 65 Boeing 777-9s and 130 General Electric 9X engines. The airline also added 8 Airbus A350-900s to its existing order, bringing its total to 73. Meanwhile, it pushed for a stretched version of the A350 to further boost capacity.
The Dubai Air Show has reinforced its status as the fastest-growing aerospace event since its launch in 1989. With billions invested in new aircraft and engines, the Middle East remains a driving force in aviation expansion. The region’s focus on passenger growth and defence partnerships continues to shape global aerospace trends.
