Dubai to Host ICOM Conference & Art Festival, Boosting Cultural Hub Status
Dubai, a global cultural hub, is set to host the 27th International Council of Museums (ICOM) General Conference - Dubai 2025 from 11 to 17 November. Coinciding with this, the Dubai Art Festival will run from 12 to 18 November at Expo City Dubai, featuring local Emirati artists and introducing the 'House of Art' platform.
The event is a result of a strategic partnership between Dubai Culture and Expo City Dubai, aiming to solidify Dubai's role as a global cultural hub. The partnership, led by H.H. Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Reem Al Hashimy, UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation and CEO of Expo City Dubai Authority, reflects Dubai's ambition to lead in culture and creativity.
The opening ceremony of ICOM Dubai 2025 will take place under the iconic Al Wasl Plaza dome, welcoming over 4,000 international delegates. The partnership will support the conference and introduce innovative projects like the 'Pocket Forest' at Terra, enhancing biodiversity and sustainability.
Through this partnership, Dubai continues to strengthen its global cultural hub status, showcasing the city as a vibrant destination for talent, innovation, and international cultural engagement.
