Dubai's 2024-2025 Social Survey Reveals Record Happiness and Civic Pride
Dubai’s latest Social Survey has revealed high levels of happiness, pride, and community cohesion among residents. The 2024-2025 report by the Community Development Authority (CDA) highlights strong social bonds, digital connectivity, and growing civic engagement across the city. The survey found that 96.4% of residents feel proud to live in Dubai, reflecting confidence in its inclusive social model. A striking 98.6% of households now have internet access, ensuring near-universal digital connectivity. Meanwhile, the Family Bond Index reached 95.3%, underscoring the importance of family ties in maintaining social stability.
Residents reported an average happiness score of 8.6 and life satisfaction of 8.72 out of 10. Among the elderly, 86.8% expressed high levels of happiness, suggesting effective social care and support systems. Over 90% of People of Determination also felt well-integrated, with easy access to education and essential services. The survey further revealed a growing culture of civic responsibility. Some 84% of residents said they have someone to rely on in difficult times, while volunteerism rose to 13.2%. Financial independence is also gaining traction, with 30.3% of Emiratis citing business-related borrowing as a key motivation. Hessa bint Essa Buhumaid, Director General of the CDA, noted that the findings serve as a strategic tool for policymaking. The data aims to enhance transparency and guide decisions that strengthen community well-being.
The results confirm Dubai’s success in fostering happiness, social inclusion, and digital access. With strong family bonds, rising volunteerism, and high satisfaction across demographics, the survey provides a clear picture of the city’s social progress. Authorities will use these insights to shape future policies and initiatives.
