Duisburg Mayor Invites Kids to Shape City's Future
Duisburg Mayor Soren Link is reaching out to the city's youth. He invites children aged 6 to 13 to a special 'Kindersprechstunde' on November 25, from 2 to 4 pm. The event, held in the town hall, aims to gather children's ideas and critiques about their city.
The children's office hour will provide a platform for young Duisburger voices. Kids can share their thoughts on various topics, including ideal playgrounds, schools, and clubs. Mayor Link wants to engage directly with the city's future generation to understand their wishes and comfort zones better.
Parents can facilitate their children's participation by registering via email at [email protected] or by calling (0203) 283-6111 until November 7. The event will take place in a meeting room of the town hall, without parental participation, to encourage open and honest dialogue.
Duisburg Mayor Soren Link's initiative aims to foster a child-friendly city. By listening to the young generation's ideas and concerns, he hopes to shape Duisburg's future together with its children.
