Duke of Braganza visits Bangladesh to support orphaned children’s foundation
The Duke of Braganza, His Royal Highness Dom Duarte Pio, recently visited Bangladesh to show his support for the Community Against Poverty Foundation Village in Sylhet. Accompanied by other royal family members, he expressed admiration for the establishment providing care for 100 orphan boys.
The royal family's trip aimed to extend support and goodwill. They inspected various facilities in the Foundation Village, including dormitories, a school, a mosque, and the site for an indoor sports complex. The Duke expressed a desire to increase the number of orphans under the Foundation's care and provide greater support to underprivileged children.
During their visit, the royal family inaugurated a lake on the campus and attended a children's drawing competition. They also agreed to attend the inaugural ceremony and academic activities of the Foundation Village's School of Excellence in September next year.
