East Lampeter Township to Vote on New Business Improvement District Authority
East Lampeter Township's Board of Supervisors will hold a hearing on December 15, 2025, to discuss an ordinance creating the Lincoln Highway Lancaster Business Improvement District Authority (BID Authority). The public is invited to attend in person or via livestream. The proposed ordinance aims to benefit the Lincoln Highway Lancaster Business Improvement District (LHL BID) by managing it and collecting annual assessments.
The BID Authority will have the power to impose an annual assessment on non-owner-occupied residential properties within the LHL BID, subject to certain conditions. It will also manage the LHL BID and provide business improvement and administrative services. The public can examine the full text of the ordinance at the Township Office or the Lancaster County Law Library during their respective business hours. The Board of Directors or authorized officers of the BID Authority are authorized to sign the Articles of Incorporation.
The hearing on December 15, 2025, will consider adopting the ordinance to organize the municipal authority for business improvements. The BID Authority, if established, will play a crucial role in managing and improving the LHL BID.
