Eisky District to Abandon Fireworks During New Year Holidays
Authorities in Yeisk District have called on residents to avoid using fireworks and pyrotechnics during the New Year and Christmas celebrations. The request comes as part of wider measures to maintain public safety and support military operations in the region.
Viktor Scherbakov, head of the district administration, issued the appeal to ensure order and prevent disruptions to defence efforts. He asked locals to show understanding and respect for those protecting the country.
Large public events for the holidays have been cancelled this year. Instead, a smaller programme will run in local venues. From December 25 to 30, 24 matinees, theatre shows, and children’s activities will take place. Three more events are planned for early January.
The changes aim to balance festive traditions with security needs. Residents are encouraged to participate in the scaled-back celebrations while following the guidelines. The district has stressed the importance of cooperation during this period.
