Ejercito urges infrastructure push to boost jobs and the economy

Senator Joseph Victor 'JV' Ejercito has called for the government to push ahead with infrastructure projects despite recent scandals. He stressed the need to maintain spending to support economic growth and job creation.

Ejercito highlighted the economic benefits of infrastructure spending, noting that every peso invested generates between PHP2.4 and PHP3 in economic activity. He argued that halting projects would harm both the economy and employment.

The senator’s proposals aim to balance economic growth with stricter oversight. If implemented, the realignment of funds and safeguards could help restore confidence in public infrastructure projects.
