Elderly couple fights for life after brutal attack by adopted son in Assam
An elderly couple in Morikolong, Nagaon district, is fighting for their lives after a brutal attack by their adopted son, Prabhat Hazarika. The gruesome incident has left locals shocked and disturbed. Police are now searching for Hazarika, who is accused of the assault.
Haren Bora, a retired education department employee, and his wife Dipti Bora had raised Prabhat since he was a child, treating him as their own son. Neighbors heard screams and found the couple unconscious with severe injuries. They were rushed to a private hospital in critical condition.
Prabhat, who had been living separately after his marriage, allegedly demanded ₹50,000 from his foster parents. When they refused, he attacked them with a sharp weapon and fled the scene. Police have launched a search operation to trace and arrest him.
The attack on the elderly couple has sent waves of shock through the local community. Police are treating the case as a serious crime and are leaving no stone unturned to apprehend Prabhat Hazarika.
