The incident occurred on October 14, 2025, when the suspect called the woman, claiming to be a law enforcement officer. He warned her about rising burglaries in her neighborhood and instructed her to hand over her valuables for safekeeping. Believing his story, the woman gave the suspect cash, jewelry, and a payment card when he rang her doorbell. Police have launched an investigation into the incident and are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the suspect or have any information about the case. The suspect is described as around 25 years old. The Frankfurt police are urging residents to be cautious of such scams.
