A 66-year-old man was arrested after attempting to steal a cash box from a bank in central Würzburg. The incident took place while security staff were restocking an ATM inside the branch. Police confirmed the suspect is now in custody.
The theft unfolded when the man seized the cash box during a routine ATM refill. A cash-in-transit guardian quickly spotted the act and intervened. The guardian restrained the suspect before police arrived at the scene.
