Elderly man pushed to ground in Freiburg robbery attempt near bus stop
An attempted robbery took place in Freiburg’s St. Peter district on Monday evening. The incident occurred around 6 p.m. near the Zähringer Eck bus stop, where a 78-year-old man was targeted by an unknown assailant. Police are now appealing for witnesses to come forward with any details they may have seen.
The victim, a 78-year-old man, had just stepped off a bus at the Zähringer Eck stop when the attack happened. The suspect, described as a slim young man between 17 and 20 years old, followed him before tugging at his backpack and pushing him to the ground. The assailant then fled up the street without taking anything.
