Sverdlovsk Region Governor Denis Pasler Announces Opening of Detour Across the Utka River Near Perekachka Settlement in Pervouralsk Municipal District
Emergency detour opens after bridge collapse near Pervouralsk
The bridge had sustained damage, and to ensure uninterrupted traffic, road crews implemented a temporary bypass. The damaged bridge will undergo major repairs, with design documentation currently in development. "Road workers have opened a detour around the damaged bridge across the Utka River at the 8th kilometer of the access road to Perekachka settlement," Pasler wrote in his Max channel.
As the Sverdlovsk Region's Department of Information Policy noted, damage to the bridge structure on the right side of the roadway was recorded on April 7. Road crews promptly began constructing the bypass while maintaining continuous traffic for passenger vehicles on the existing structure.
In an extremely tight timeframe, the crews installed culverts, completed earthworks, filled the area with rocky soil, and laid reinforced concrete slabs and guardrails.
Freight trucks, garbage collectors, and fire engines can now cross the Utka River without obstruction.
Earlier, Oblastnaya Gazeta reported that Denis Pasler had provided updates on the progress of bridge repairs in the Pervouralsk district.
