Emergency vehicle and private car collide in Berlin’s Karlshorst district
A serious traffic collision occurred in Berlin’s Karlshorst district last night. An emergency vehicle and a private car collided at the intersection of Waldowallee and Rheinsteinstraße. The incident resulted in one person being injured and the rescue vehicle being taken out of service.
The collision involved a 21-year-old emergency responder driving with priority signals activated. The driver, a 37-year-old paramedic, was on duty at the time of the crash. A breath test confirmed that no alcohol was in his system.
The case is still under review by specialist investigators. The 72-year-old driver continued on his way after receiving treatment at the scene. The emergency services vehicle was removed from operation following the collision.
