Emmendingen honors four standout trainees in 2025 apprenticeship awards
Emmendingen District has recognised four outstanding young professionals as its 'Trainees of the Year 2025'. The awards highlight the region’s strong apprenticeship system, where over 90% of reported training positions were successfully filled last year.
The winners were selected across four key sectors. Marlon Sommer, an automotive mechatronics technician at Schmolck GmbH & Co. KG, took first place in the skilled trades category. His colleague, Jan Adomaitis, also from Schmolck GmbH & Co. KG, won in the retail division.
The awards celebrate the dedication of both trainees and employers in Emmendingen. With nearly all training positions filled, the district maintains a robust apprenticeship network. The recognition also underscores the ongoing collaboration between businesses and educational initiatives.
