Energy authorities unveiled a memorial marker in honor of Stanislav Popov
In a poignant ceremony held on Wednesday, June 25, a memorial plaque was unveiled in honour of Stanislav Popov, a dedicated employee of Yakutsk Electric Networks who lost his life heroically during a special military operation in 2023.
Stanislav, aged 26 at the time of his tragic demise, was a repairer of paragazoturbine equipment at the TPP in Deputatsky village. His colleagues at Yakutsk Electric Networks, along with his family, gathered to remember and honour the loving husband, father, and good friend who will forever be missed.
The memorial plaque inauguration event was attended by Stanislav's mother, Margarita Popova, his wife, Kataleya Popova, the Deputatsky village head, workers of Yakutsk Electric Networks, and invited guests. Margarita Popova and Kataleya Popova were given the privilege to unveil the memorial plaque, marking a significant moment for the family and the community.
Margarita Ruslanovna, Stanislav's mother, expressed her gratitude to the workers of Yakutsk Electric Networks and others involved in the memorial plaque inauguration. She also expressed her appreciation for the support and kindness shown to her family during this difficult time. Margarita's younger son and their father, both workers of Yakutsk Electric Networks, are currently in the special military operation zone.
Igor Poltaratsky, the director of Yakutsk Electric Networks, stated that Stanislav Popov will forever remain in their hearts. He emphasised that the company is committed to honouring the memory of their fallen colleague and will continue to support his family during this challenging period.
The memorial plaque was installed near the TPP where Stanislav Popov worked, joining two other memorial plaques that were previously installed at energy facilities of Olenekskoye RSE and Olekminsky RSE. This act serves as a reminder to all workers of AO "Sakhaenergo" to honour the memory of their colleagues who have heroically given their lives for the common good.
Despite extensive searches, no verified information about Stanislav Popov's military service or place of death can be confirmed from the current data. However, his bravery and selflessness are undoubtedly remembered and celebrated by those who knew him best.
