Eritrean Man Jailed for Violent Attack on Stuttgart Police at Public Event
A 28-year-old Eritrean man has been jailed for attacking police at a public event in Stuttgart. The incident took place during an Eritrean gathering in Bad Cannstatt last September. His arrest followed months later, with a court case concluding this week.
The confrontation happened on September 16, 2023, when the man allegedly threw a glass bottle at officers. He also made threats against emergency workers responding to the scene. Police later arrested him on May 9, 2024, after an investigation into the attack.
The convicted man will now serve his sentence for the attack on police. The ruling comes after a seven-month investigation and trial. Authorities have not released further details about the case.
