Essen and Turkey deepen ties under new Consul General Taylan Özgür Aydın

The City of Essen is committed to close cooperation with the Turkish Consulate General, led by Taylan Özgür Aydın, who assumed his role on January 15, 2023.

Taylan Özgür Aydın, a former Turkish diplomat, now serves as the Consul General in Essen. His diplomatic activities include representing Turkey in the region and attending commemorations. Lord Mayor Thomas Kufen extended his congratulations to Aydın on the 102nd anniversary of the Republic of Turkey, which was founded in 1923 under Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's leadership.
