Essen Awards 15 Young Volunteers Permanent Scholarships for 2026
Fifteen young volunteers from Essen have been awarded scholarships for 2026. The city’s Volunteer Scholarship, introduced last year, will now continue as a permanent programme. Each recipient will receive €150 per month to support their commitment to community work.
The scholarships were awarded through a lottery system. Applicants had to submit an online form by October 31, 2025, to be considered. No details about the selected individuals have been made public, but their profiles will be available on the city’s website.
The 15 recipients will receive monthly payments throughout 2026. More information about the scholarship and its winners is available at www.ourwebsite/volunteerscholarship. The programme will continue supporting young volunteers in the years ahead.
