Essen’s festive spirit shines with WDR 2’s live music and charity drive
WDR 2 is spreading festive cheer in Essen this December. From the 13th to the 17th, the WDR 2 Glass House will be live on Burgplatz, playing music requests. Meanwhile, Essen City Library branches are now accepting donations for WDR 2’s Christmas Miracle, with all December proceeds going to this large charity campaign.
The WDR 2 Glass House will be a musical highlight of the season. For five days, it will broadcast live from Essen's Burgplatz, inviting listeners to request their favourite tunes. This event is the centrepiece of WDR 2’s Christmas Miracle, a charity campaign running up to the holidays.
Essen residents can contribute to this cause at their local library. Every branch is accepting donations during opening hours throughout December. All funds collected will support the WDR 2 Christmas Miracle campaign.
