Essen’s Kettwig braces for two-day roadworks starting November 17
The City of Essen has announced road construction work on Charlottenhofstraße in Kettwig, starting on November 17, 2025. The project will cause temporary disruption to traffic flow and access to certain areas.
The roadworks, set to last for two days, will see the outbound lane closed, leaving only one lane open for traffic. A temporary traffic light system will be installed to manage the flow of vehicles during this time.
Residents and commuters should note that access to Laupendahler Höhe near the city border will be blocked during the roadworks. The City of Essen urges drivers to plan alternative routes and allow extra time for their journeys.
The road construction work on Charlottenhofstraße in Kettwig is scheduled from November 17 to November 18, 2025. Motorists are advised to follow traffic management signs and obey any instructions given by traffic wardens during this period.
