Estonian President Opens Exhibition for 500th Anniversary of First Book
Estonian President Alar Karis has begun a state visit to Kazakhstan, marked by a series of cultural events. The centrepiece of the visit is an exhibition at the National Academic Library in Astana. President Karis officially opened the display, which honours the half-millennium milestone of the first printed Estonian book. The event forms part of a broader cultural programme running until November 19.
The cultural exchange highlights ties between Estonia and Kazakhstan. The exhibitions, concert, and academic meetings will remain accessible until mid-November. The visit underscores ongoing collaboration in education and the arts between the two nations.
