Roberta Metsola, President of the European Parliament, has responded to beekeepers' concerns. She announced that EU Commissioner for Animal Welfare, Olivér Várhelyi, will address these issues. The European Beekeeping Association has welcomed this move.

The European Beekeeping Association expressed gratitude to Ms. Metsola for acknowledging their worries about the proposed abolition of the beekeeping envelope under the new Common Agricultural Policy. They are now reassured that their views will be considered in agricultural and environmental policy discussions. The association is committed to working closely with European institutions, including Commissioner Várhelyi, to ensure beekeepers' concerns are taken into account.
