Ex-DOJ Environmental Chief Todd Kim Joins Pillsbury After Biden Era
Todd Kim, the former head of the US Department of Justice’s Environment and Natural Resources Division, has joined Pillsbury as a partner. His move follows a three-year leadership role under President Joe Biden’s administration. Kim led the division from early 2021 until January this year, taking charge shortly after Biden’s inauguration and leaving as the Trump administration began. His tenure focused on environmental enforcement and natural resource litigation. At Pillsbury, he will now handle energy, environmental, and appellate cases, including matters involving state attorneys general. The firm has brought him on board to strengthen its regulatory and litigation capabilities. Kim’s shift to private practice follows years of public service in environmental law, with his experience in government enforcement now supporting corporate and regulatory clients. Pillsbury has expanded its team with a specialist in high-stakes environmental disputes.
