Ex-Mayor Roizman Continues Aid Despite 'Foreign Agent' Label, New Book Imminent
Yevgeny Roizman, the former mayor of Yekaterinburg, continues to support those in need despite the closure of his foundation. He has been designated a 'foreign agent' by Russia’s Ministry of Justice and receives requests for help through social media and direct messages.
Roizman plans to release a collection of his poetry and prose soon, focusing on the museums of Yekaterinburg’s artists. He has previously published a book about the Nevyansk Icon, a three-volume set with production costs nearing 20,000 rubles. Around 100 copies of this book have been given away to museums and research teams.
Despite the shutdown of the Roizman Foundation by a court on August 5, 2022, Roizman remains active in assisting those who need it. His work continues to inspire and support the community, even in the face of adversity.
Roizman's upcoming poetry and prose collection, focusing on Yekaterinburg's artists, is eagerly awaited. His previous work, a book about the Nevyansk Icon, has already made a significant impact. Despite challenges, Roizman continues to support those in need, demonstrating his commitment to the community.
