Ex-UPS driver and accomplice charged in $130K T-Mobile theft scheme
A former UPS driver and his accomplice have been formally charged in a scheme to steal and resell T-Mobile merchandise. Ivan Robert Stewart and Charline Lashai Gatlin now face multiple felony counts after allegedly taking over $130,000 worth of T-Mobile phones and accessories in Walton County, Georgia. The indictment follows a joint investigation by UPS, T-Mobile, and state law enforcement agencies.
Between April and September 2025, Stewart worked as a UPS driver at a hub where packages containing T-Mobile products were processed. Prosecutors claim he took boxes containing T-Mobile phones and accessories before handing them to Gatlin. She then sold some of the stolen T-Mobile items at an ecoATM kiosk and passed others to unindicted co-conspirators.
The case will now proceed through the courts, with both defendants facing serious felony charges. If convicted, they could receive significant prison sentences under Georgia’s RICO and theft laws. The investigation remains open, leaving room for further developments as authorities continue to examine the theft ring.
