Expands Vistara's flight network with 14 additional routes this summer season
Indian airline Vistara, a joint venture between Tata Group and Singapore Airlines, has announced an expansion of its summer schedule for 2019. The airline is set to launch new flights on several routes, including Mumbai to Kolkata, Mumbai to Hyderabad, and Mumbai to Bengaluru, with five daily flights on the Mumbai to Bengaluru route.
The new flights are now open for bookings on Vistara's website, mobile apps, travel agents, and Online Travel Agencies (OTAs). The Mumbai to Kolkata route will operate daily, while the exact frequency for the Mumbai to Hyderabad route is yet to be specified.
Vistara's summer schedule expansion does not include any new routes for Raipur or Dibrugarh, as previously mentioned. However, the airline has recently added both cities to its growing network, with double daily flights to and from Delhi for Raipur and daily flights to and from Delhi via Bagdogra for Dibrugarh.
In addition to these new routes, Vistara has also introduced a new flight on the Pune to Hyderabad route, operating from April 7 to 30, 2019.
The airline's summer schedule includes a total of 14 new flights, marking a significant expansion in its operations. This expansion comes as Vistara prepares for the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) post-fog season schedule review, with new destinations under final consideration.
Vistara's current international operations include nonstop flights between Delhi and Tokyo, which began on June 16, 2025. However, there is ongoing speculation about a potential merger with Air India, which might impact future route expansion and operations.
For the latest and most detailed updates, passengers are advised to check Vistara’s official website or contact their customer service, as publicly available information remains limited as of late July 2025.
With these new flights and routes, Vistara aims to strengthen its position in the Indian aviation market and provide more travel options for its passengers. The airline's commitment to quality service and customer satisfaction continues to set it apart in the competitive aviation industry.
The airline's expansion in its operations is not confined to the domestic sector; it also includes the introduction of a new flight on the Pune to Hyderabad route in the technology-driven transportation industry. Meanwhile, speculations in the finance sector suggest potential merger with Air India, which could impact future route expansion and operations in both the domestic and international aerospace industry.
