Ezhov Family Named Best 'Keeper of Traditions', Inspiring Nationwide
The Ezhov family from Arzamas in the Nizhny Novgorod region has been recognised as one of the best in the 'Family - Keeper of Traditions' category. Despite not being able to attend the ceremony in Moscow due to the imminent arrival of their sixth child, the family received high praise from officials.
The 'Family of the Year' contest, held for the tenth time in 2025, saw nearly 11,000 families participate. The Ezhovs, with their five children and another on the way, stood out for their strong family values and traditions. Dmitry Viktorovich, the family's patriarch, is an ophthalmologist who provides volunteer medical assistance to those in need. His wife, Vera Maximovna, is a multilingual teacher and childbirth preparation instructor, also involved in various sports. The family's dedication to their community and cultural heritage made them a shining example for all, as commended by Minister Igor Sedikh of the Nizhny Novgorod region. The contest, part of the National Family Project initiated by President Vladimir Putin, aims to strengthen family values nationwide.
The Ezhov family's award serves as a testament to their commitment to family, tradition, and community. Despite not being present at the ceremony held at the National Center 'Russia' in Moscow, their impact was felt. Minister Oleg Petrov presented the award, acknowledging the family's exceptional role in promoting strong family values.
