Factory construction by Lo-Cat in Weil am Rhein at a cost of 10 million euros

In the heart of Germany's industrial region, Weil am Rhein is set to welcome a significant addition to its manufacturing landscape. Lo-Cat, an aerospace supplier, is constructing a new factory on the Lofo site, marking a return to the company's roots as it was founded in Weil in 2010.

The new factory, boasting a modern 3,300 square meter production hall, is scheduled to commence operations in May 2026, with the production start planned for June/July of the same year. About half of the current 42 employees, including apprentices, will be active in Weil.

The Lofo site, with nearly a century of industrial history, as acknowledged by Weil's Mayor, Diana Stöcker, will see this new development as a notable step forward. The Lo-Cat project is considered a milestone for Weil as a production site by both Mayors, Diana Stöcker and Lorenz Wehrle.

Lo-Cat supplies high-precision aluminum parts for aircraft outer skins to companies like Airbus and Pilatus. With the new factory, the company aims to further strengthen its market position by bringing a newly developed manufacturing process to series production.
