Man Sends Friend for Paternity Test and Gets Caught - Fake passport and paternity test scam unravels in German court drama
Two men, aged 43 and 37, have been charged with document forgery and attempted fraud in Dillingen an der Donau. The 37-year-old, who failed to appear in court, now faces an arrest warrant. The case involves a forged passport and a paternity test deception to avoid child support payments.
The 37-year-old friend orchestrated the scheme, using the 43-year-old's photo to create a forged passport. He then convinced his friend to take a paternity speed test, aiming to prove he was not the child's father and thus avoid paying €8,655 in unpaid child support. The family court, however, uncovered the ruse when the test results and the 43-year-old's photo were sent to the child's mother, exposing the scam.
Both men were subsequently charged with document forgery and attempted fraud at Dillingen District Court. The 43-year-old's defense attorney revealed his client had reservations about the plan's success from the start. Initially, the DNA speedtest seemed to support their claim, but the deception was later discovered.
The 37-year-old's failure to appear in court has resulted in an arrest warrant. Both men face charges of document forgery and attempted fraud. The 37-year-old's outstanding child support payments of €8,655 remain unaddressed.
