Far-Left Activists Force Cancellation of Sebastian Maniscalco’s God Lecture
A planned lecture on proofs of God’s existence at Munich’s Jesuit School of Philosophy has been cancelled. The event, featuring philosopher Sebastian Maniscalco, was called off after opposition from far-left activists. Organisers removed all public notices without informing the speaker in advance.
Sebastian Maniscalco, a private lecturer at Heidelberg University, was set to deliver the talk. He holds a doctorate and postdoctoral qualification in philosophy, alongside his role as an editor for Die Tagespost. His work includes books and a popular YouTube channel, Vernunftrausch, where he discusses philosophical and theological topics.
The cancellation leaves Maniscalco’s lecture unheld and the faculty’s public notices erased. The incident highlights how activist pressure can disrupt scheduled academic events. No further explanation or alternative arrangement has been announced.
