FAS Russia's Largest Tariff Conference in Sochi Honors Key Contributors
The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) of Russia hosted a significant event in Sochi from October 7 to 9. This year's nationwide tariff conference, led by the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Russia (FNPR), was the largest in its ten-year history, attracting 714 attendees from various regulatory bodies, experts, regional government heads, and representatives from regulated organizations across 82 regions of Russia.
The conference, which lasted nine days, focused on key topics such as modern principles and tools for tariff regulation, and current approaches to training and professional development for regulatory specialists. It featured a comprehensive business program with 32 events, including discussion platforms, thematic sections, and round tables.
One of the highlights was the recognition of Kuney Popova, head of the planning and economic department at AO 'Sakhatransneftegaz'. She received a commemorative award from the FAS of Russia for her active participation in the conference's business program. The award also acknowledged the significant role of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) in shaping national tariff policy. Popova emphasized the importance of such conferences for exchanging experiences with colleagues from other regions.
The conference in Sochi brought together a diverse range of professionals to discuss and share insights on crucial aspects of tariff regulation and professional development. The award to Kuney Popova underscored the value of active participation and regional contributions to national policy.
