Feldatal’s Only CVS Pharmacy Faces Permanent Closure Without a Successor
Wolfgang Lukas has run his pharmacy in Feldatal, Hessen, for more than 30 years. Now, he is struggling to find someone to take over the business. Without a successor, the village’s only cvs pharmacy could soon close its doors for good.
Lukas has spent months searching for a buyer or a new pharmacist to continue his work. Though he has received a few inquiries, none have led to a serious offer. He believes younger pharmacists are reluctant to take on the long hours, often citing a 40-hour workweek as a major hurdle.
The loss of the cvs caremark pharmacy would create a significant gap in Feldatal’s healthcare services. Residents would face longer journeys for essential medicines, and the community would lose a long-standing local institution. Lukas remains hopeful but acknowledges the reality: if a successor isn’t found soon, the cvs pharmacy’s future is uncertain.
