A fire broke out in an apartment building in Borken, located in the Schwalm-Eder district. The blaze caused significant damage, destroying a kitchen and another room inside the property.
The incident occurred in a residential building where a 33-year-old occupant was present at the time. Fortunately, they managed to escape without injury.
Firefighters arrived quickly to tackle the flames, but the damage was already extensive. Estimates place the total cost of the destruction at around €100,000.
The affected apartment suffered heavy losses, particularly in the kitchen and an adjoining room. Authorities have not yet released further details about the cause or ownership of the property.
