Florida bar argument over chicken facts ends in gunfire with no injuries

A heated argument over poultry facts ended in gunfire outside a Port Saint Lucie pub early Tuesday. Remarkably, no one was injured despite the suspect, later identified as Peter Riera, firing four shots at three victims.

The unusual incident began when Riera, a 44-year-old man, engaged in a discussion with three strangers about the number of eggs a chicken can lay. The conversation quickly escalated, leading to an argument that turned violent.

The altercation took place outside a local pub, with eyewitnesses reporting hearing raised voices before the shots were fired. Despite the close proximity and multiple shots, none of the victims sustained any injuries. Riera, who had only just met the three individuals that night, was later arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

The Florida shooting, sparked by an unlikely dispute over chicken egg production, serves as a reminder of the unpredictable nature of altercations. Fortunately, no one was harmed in this unusual incident. Peter Riera awaits trial, facing charges for his actions.
