Former HEB employee charged after pointing gun at Houston security guard
A 27-year-old man has been charged after allegedly pointing a gun at a security guard outside a Houston supermarket. The incident took place at an HEB store near Fountain View Drive and San Felipe Street around 6 p.m. Police have identified the suspect as Hunter Molina, a former employee of the store. Molina had worked at the HEB location five years ago before being dismissed. Since then, he had repeatedly returned to the store, despite being banned from the premises. Staff reported that he visited every week or two, causing disturbances each time.
On the day of the incident, Molina allegedly confronted a security guard in the parking area. He pointed a firearm at the guard before running away through the car park. Authorities later arrested him and charged him with aggravated assault of a security officer. Court records show Molina is scheduled to appear before a judge on May 7.
The case will proceed through the legal system, with Molina facing a felony charge. His next court date is set for early May. The store has not released further details about the guard’s condition or any additional security measures.
