Former Thurgau Leader Kaspar Schläpfer Passes Away at 74
Former Thurgau cantonal government member and leader of the Department of Home Affairs and Economic Affairs, Kaspar Schläpfer, has passed away at the age of 74 after a long illness. Schläpfer held these roles from 2003 to 2016.
Schläpfer took over the department after Hermann Lei's resignation in 2003. He was a member of the FDP.The Liberals party and served as a member of the Thurgauer Kantonsregierung during his tenure. His leadership spanned over a decade, shaping the canton's home and economic landscape.
