Founders reveal the untold struggles of selling a startup at December 16 event

A fireside chat on December 16, 2025, will bring together three founders to discuss the realities of selling a startup. The event, titled From Zero Session #2, will explore the strategic choices, personal pressures, and emotional challenges behind company exits. Attendees will hear firsthand from entrepreneurs who have recently navigated major acquisitions. The evening kicks off at 18:30 with drinks and networking. At 19:00, the discussion begins, running until 20:30 with an audience Q&A session. Michael Hadjijoseph, co-founder of Stagedoor, will moderate the conversation.

Three founders will share their experiences. Demetrios Zoppos has built and sold multiple companies, including GF-X, onefinestay, and Klevio. Stephanos Stephanov’s firm, 2050 Materials, was acquired by the Once For All Group in November 2025. Nicholas Andreou’s Locum’s Nest was bought by Aya Healthcare in June 2025. Beyond the deal-making process, the session will examine how founders adjust after an exit. Topics will include the emotional impact of leaving a business and the practical steps that follow a sale.

The event offers a rare look into the personal and professional sides of startup exits. Founders will reflect on their decisions, the pressures they faced, and what comes next. Registration remains open for those interested in attending the December 16 discussion.
