Four critically injured in Bavaria's deadly head-on crash near Grafenau
A serious head-on collision near Grafenau in Lower Bavaria has left four people with severe injuries. The crash happened when a 26-year-old man attempted to overtake a timber truck and struck an oncoming vehicle. The accident occurred on a road outside Grafenau, where the driver of one car tried to pass a slow-moving timber lorry. His vehicle collided with another travelling in the opposite direction.
The 26-year-old man behind the wheel suffered major injuries. In the second car, a 69-year-old, a 44-year-old and a 15-year-old were also seriously hurt. Emergency services arrived quickly and took all four casualties to nearby hospitals for urgent treatment.
Authorities have not yet released further details about the exact location or the current condition of those injured. The incident remains under investigation by local police.
