Four Groundbreaking Initiatives Win Hesse’s 2025 Integration Prize
The 2025 Integration and Participation Prize has been awarded to four outstanding initiatives in Hesse. This year’s theme, Young Volunteers, Strong Civil Society, highlights the role of youth in fostering democratic values. The winners were announced during a ceremony at Biebrich Palace in Wiesbaden.
The top honours—and €6,000 each—went to Volunteering in Young Hands and Innovation Space in Hesse. The first project supports disadvantaged young people in Wiesbaden’s Sauerland district, helping them engage in local community work. The second is an open, tech-driven learning hub in Frankfurt’s Ben-Gurion-Ring area, designed to bring people together through innovation.
The prize recognises organisations, associations, and individuals who actively promote democratic coexistence. This year’s winners will use the funding to expand their projects across Hesse. The award continues to encourage grassroots initiatives that build solidarity and participation.
