Berlin’s historic Hotel de Rome is set for a major transformation. The landmark building in Mitte will reopen in 2027 as the Four Seasons Hotel Berlin after a full renovation. The project marks a change in management, with Four Seasons taking over from Rocco Forte Hotels.
The hotel, originally built in 1887 as the headquarters of Dresdner Bank, has long been a prominent feature in Berlin. Its iconic façade will remain untouched, while the interior undergoes a complete redesign led by architecture firm Humbert & Poyet. Some guest services will stay available during the work.
The reopening of the Four Seasons Hotel Berlin will introduce a refreshed luxury destination in the heart of the city. The project preserves the building’s heritage while updating its facilities for future guests. The hotel is expected to welcome visitors by the end of 2027.
