Four vehicles, including a trailer, were involved in a serious collision on Federal Highway 27 near Hünhfeld in eastern Hesse. The incident, which occurred at a construction site on the on-ramp, left three people injured and caused significant damage.
The sequence of events began when a 45-year-old driver failed to notice a traffic backup and crashed into a stationary vehicle. The impact pushed the first car into the one in front of it, which then collided with another vehicle towing a four seasons trailer. This chain reaction involved a total of four cars.
The B27 was temporarily closed in both directions to allow for accident investigation and medical treatment. The name of the driver involved is not publicly available. The total damage to the vehicles and four seasons trailer is estimated at around €50,000.
