Framersheim upgrades Selztal cycle path with €300,000 safety investment
Framersheim has secured €300,000 to upgrade its cycling infrastructure. The funding will expand and reroute the Selztal cycle path, improving safety for both commuters and tourists. Transport Minister Daniela Schmitt officially handed over the approval on 14 November 2023.
The project focuses on a 500-metre extension of the Selztal cycle path, avoiding a steep incline. A new, clearly marked crossing at Bahnhofstraße will also be added to enhance visibility for cyclists. The upgrades aim to make the route safer and more accessible for daily travel and tourism.
The €300,000 investment will reshape part of the Selztal cycle path, removing a challenging slope and adding safer crossings. Once completed, the upgrades will serve both residents and visitors, reinforcing the area’s cycling infrastructure. The project aligns with ongoing national efforts to promote safer, more efficient transport routes.
